Diagnostic Immunohistochemistry in Breast Pathology

January 12, 2022 at 11:00am Eastern Time

This is a 90 min session to allow for ample Q&A.

Applications of immunohistochemistry in breast pathology will be reviewed, including the pros, perils and pitfalls of myoepithelial stains, CK5/ER, Ecadherin and catenins. A brief overview of breast markers for metastasis will be given, with some emphasis on newer stains.

At the end of the webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Apply (judiciously) and correctly interpret myoepithelial immunostains in breast pathology
  • Utilize immunohistochemistry as an adjunct in diagnosis of UDH/atypia-DCIS
  • Apply and understand immunostains for lobular neoplasia
  • Select a panel to characterize metastasis.
