COIHC will present the IHC ‘stain’ as an assay, with emphasis on the ‘Analytic Response Curve’, so that participants will realize how the assay can be put into calibrator control and statistical control. This presentation will discuss challenges and opportunities in the application of IHC to bone tumor diagnostic histopathology.
At the end of the session, participants will be able to:
1. Discuss “Limits of Detection” (LOD) for antibodies in general, and how they are obtained.
2. Describe assay dynamic range and the factors that affect it.
3. Distinguish the clinical importance of clinical Low Her2 versus Positive Her2.
