The presentation provides an overview of diagnostic immunohistochemistry and its application in uterine mesenchymal tumors, including endometrial stromal tumors, smooth muscle tumors, and mesenchymal tumors exhibiting myxoid features.
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Distinguish immunohistochemical profiles of high-grade endometrial stromal sarcomas and low-grade endometrial stromal sarcomas with variant histology and/or somatic mutations
- Select appropriate immunohistochemical studies in the assessment of myxoid uterine mesenchymal tumors
- Apply molecular-based immunohistochemistry assessing malignancy in challenging uterine smooth muscle tumors
